Heriberto Rivera's Obituary
The life of Heriberto “Indio” Rivera. He was the son of Georgina Vazquez Ramirez and Alfonso Rivera, he was also one of fourteen children. Born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico on August 5th 1953. He was an amazing father, and grandfather, he is survived by his one son and four grandchildren, and one step granddaughter who shares his birthday. He was a hard working man who never complained even when he was hurt. Always had time for family and helped coach my team from pee-wee league all the way to high school, and impacted so many kid's life. He taught me to always help others when possible, to protect my mother and family, and most importantly keep God first in my life. To always face my problems and not run from them, and to always love your family because they are always going to be there for you. He made an impact with people wherever he went. I want to say thank you Boza & Roel funeral home, and to everyone who has made this transition simple and stress free as possible. Thank you to my family and friends for all the support. A special thank you to my wife and his daughter-in-law Sandra Rivera for always taking care of my father. When I was young I was asked to write an essay about someone I called my hero, I wrote it about my father. He was my hero then and my hero now and forever. You will never be forgotten, until we meet again “I love you Papi”
