Henry Menendez's Obituary
Menendez, Henry, 86, of Tampa, FL, died June 17, 2024. He was born Dec. 7, 1937 to Ruby Whittemore and Andres Menendez. He graduated from Jefferson H.S. in 1955 and afterward honorably served in the USAF from 1956-1960.
He enjoyed living in Hawaii during his time there. He later worked for the Hillsborough County School System as a computer programmer. He proudly retired from there after 38 years and still enjoyed many gatherings with fellow retirees afterward. He enjoyed playing sports growing up and was an avid bowler and bicycle rider throughout his adult life. He enjoyed football and baseball games being an inaugural USF football season ticket holder and enjoyed attending almost every home game and several away games with his surviving son (Timothy). He also completed a bucket list item with his son having seen the TB Rays get to play every team in MLB over the years.
He was generous and often thought of others before himself and we be missed by those who knew him well.
