Henry Logan King III's Obituary
It is with sad hearts that we let you know Henry Logan King III passed away on July 7, 2025. Hank was born on April 9, 1954, in Lutz Florida. He was 71. Hank graduated from Jesuit High School in Tampa in 1972. Like his father, his father’s father, and his father’s father, Hank was a cattle rancher. He was the proud dad to Bubbles (next to Hank in the photograph) and generations of cattle and donkeys. He loved his 130-pound Anatolian Shepherd, Bob and his cat, Star. He preferred the company of his four-legged family over stupid humans. Besides being a fourth-generation cattleman, Hank’s interests were varied. He was an environmentalist; a building contractor; he built fine homes for Arthur Rutenberg; hung large, heavy vault doors with precision; leased land for cellular towers; and he was a golfer.
Hank was enamored with Bobby Jones’ famous quote: “Golf is the closest game to the game we call life. You get bad breaks from good shots; you get good breaks from bad shots—but you have to play the ball where it lies.” Hank didn’t suffer fools, period. He had an IQ of 150. Hank was proud of his genealogy. He was predeceased by his sisters, Kay King Bunton and Lou King Page; his parents, Henry Logan and Martha Dowd King Jr; his grandparents, Henry Logan and Claudia Mae Carlton King; and his great grandparents, Ziba and Florida Appolonia Brewer King. Hank was a strong believer that THC therapy prolonged his life well past an otherwise much earlier death due to cancer. This belief he advocated for with great conviction that he was not timid about sharing. Hank will be missed.
