Helen Garcia Gonzalez's Obituary
Helen Garcia Gonzalez, age 88, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in Tampa, Florida. She was born on October 30, 1937, in New York City to the late Jose Garcia and Ofelia Menendez.
Helen was a proud graduate of Jefferson High School. She went on to build a dedicated career as a pharmaceutical order representative, where she worked faithfully for many years. Known for her strong work ethic and determination, Helen took pride in everything she did.
On June 7, 1980, Helen married the love of her life, Louis Gonzalez. They shared 24 wonderful years of marriage until his passing. Family was always at the center of Helen’s life and remained her proudest achievement.
Helen enjoyed reading, taking her daily walks, and was lovingly known for her feisty spirit. She had a strength and personality that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Frank Coto (Anita); daughters, Donna Reed (Marty) and Lara Duncan (Craig); Grandchildren, Justin, Chelsea, Matthew, Marty, Connor, Collin, Jamie, Kasie and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis Gonzalez; stepson, Scott Gonzalez; sister, Brenda Rojas and niece, Sylvia Morales.
Visitation will take place on January 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Boza Roel Funeral Home. A graveside service and burial will immediately follow at Serenity Meadows in Riverview.
