Helen Lopez Garvin's Obituary
Helen (Pat) Lopez Garvin,100, died on November 26, 2022, at the Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace FL after a serious fall in her home on November 24, 2022. Pat was born in St. Petersburg, FL and relocated to Tampa at an early age. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Tampa, FL. She worked in Banking for 45 years (Exchange Bank-Bank of America). After retirement she proudly joined St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary as a volunteer for 29 years, serving in many capacities including 2 years as president, this became a most important and rewarding part of her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan and husband Kenneth St. John, her son, Michael W. Garvin and his husband Daniel Moon and her beloved grandson, Jeffrey M. St. John. Pat is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother and sisters, Joseph P. Lopez Jr., Kathryn Lovell and Eugenia Hawkins; and her special companion, William "Bill" Rover.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 4-7pm at the Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Ave, Tampa. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 7th at 1pm with interment at Garden of Memories.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Pat’s name to: St. Joseph Hospitals Auxiliary, 3001 W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tampa, FL 33607.
