Hector Julio Acevedo's Obituary
Hector Julio Acevedo Guadarrama, 75, of Arecibo, Puerto Rico, passed away in Tampa, Florida, on September 30, 2025.
Born on April 12, 1950, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of William Acevedo and Gertrude Guadarrama. Hector honorably served in the United States Army as a SP4 during the Vietnam War. On October 12, 1974, he married the love of his life, Lillian Vázquez, and together they raised three children: Hector Angel, Vanessa, and Joel.
Hector was a humble and family-oriented man whose greatest joy came from his loved ones, especially his three grandchildren, Jace Michael, Julian Cash, and Maddox Kai. He had a deep passion for cars and sports and was happiest when surrounded by family.
He will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the love he shared so freely with those around him.
He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren, as well as his siblings Vivian, Alicia, and Freddy.
Services will be on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 6:45 PM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Ave., Tampa. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 6:00-6:45 PM.
Committal Service with Army Honors on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM.
