Harold Schacker's Obituary
Harold Schacker went to heaven on October 2, 2015 at age 90, leaving behind his wife Martha and their three children Kerri Atkins, Brian and Dale Schacker and their wives and grandchildren Kaila and Luke.
Harold served his country in the military during World War II and then met Martha while playing professional baseball. Harold played throughout North and Central America and made it to the majors with the Boston Braves. Later he coached youth baseball teams in New York and Florida. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Harold moved his family to Florida where he secured a US Post Office job until retirement. Harold loved his home and family and lived in Tampa for over 50 years. He was an avid supporter of the Rays, Lightning and Buccaneers. His parents Rebecca and Samuel raised three boys in Brooklyn during the depression era, and now have relatives across the United States.
