Gloria A. Balbontin's Obituary
Balbontin, Gloria A. (Yoya), 94, passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Balbontin, brothers, Elio V. Alvarez, Sr. (Isabel) & Edward (Cuqui) Alvarez. She is survived by cousins Manuel (Manny) Alvarez (Mary) & Norma Pasetti (Lawrence) & nephews Danny Alvarez (Margi), Elio V. Alvarez, Jr. (Machi) & Joe Stephenson. She retired from Montgomery Ward as an administrative clerk & worked many years in the cafeteria at Mitchell Elementary School. She was a caring & thoughtful person who kept in close touch with her family & many friends. She was fiercely independent & lived alone with very little help. We would like to thank Dan Barr & David Locke who could always be relied on for support & help. A Memorial Mass for the repose of her soul will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church at 10 am on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, Rev. Fr. Roland Lajoie, Celebrant. Donations may be made in Gloria’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
