Glenn A. Clepper's Obituary
CLEPPER, Glenn A., 83, of Tampa, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016. Born in Wattersonville, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents Eburn G. and Mary E. Clepper; his brother Richard Clepper. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty Jo Clepper; daughter, Melissa Clepper-Faith (Rik); son, Glenn A. Clepper Jr. (Padi); granddaughters, Rhiannon and Selena; Brother, William Clepper; sister, Helen Louise Dietz; sister-in-law Violet Green (Ray); Aunt Carmen Alfonso; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was previously employed at GTE and retired from the State of Florida PSC. He was a 32nd degree Mason at John Darlington Lodge, a member of the Civitan International, member of American Legion Post 111 and of the Sons of the American Revolution. He loved family gatherings, especially his "Noche Buenas." He loved his Wednesday Telephone Pioneer Club breakfast with friends and loved his faithful dog Sandy. Glenn loved to write. He wrote many columns, often for his boyhood church bulletin in Wattersonville, PA. He authored three books about his love of America. He described himself as an author, historian, and patriot, always ending "In God We Trust." The family would like to say Thank You for all the prayers and caring kindness during his illness. The family will receive friends for Visitation Saturday, July 23, 2016 between 10 and 11 AM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Avenue, Tampa. Services will begin at 11 AM at the funeral home, followed by Interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
