Giles Odell Lofton III's Obituary
Giles Odell Lofton III, 89, passed away August 1, 2015. He was born November 7, 1925 in Colquitt, Georgia to the late Giles O. Lofton II and Marge (Strange) Lofton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Anicia Lofton.
Giles enjoyed bowling, drinking McDonalds Coffee, staying very active in politics and was a huge FSU fan. He was a member of the first men’s graduating class. (It previously was an all girls college).
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Carolyn Payne and her husband Donald of Tampa; Debbie Develle and her husband Mike of Tampa; grandchildren, Michael Develle and his wife Betsy of Dayton, Ohio; BJ Develle and his wife Greta of Dunedin, Florida; granddaughter, Jennifer Chan and her husband Victor of Orlando, Florida; great-grandchildren, Jimmy and Kate Develle of Dayton, Ohio; Georgia and Gwen Develle of Dunedin, Florida; Samantha, Jasmin and Kyle Chan of Orlando, Florida.
There will be a graveside service with military honors will be on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33610. Condolences may be left online at www.bozaroel.com
