Gilberto Arcia- Perez's Obituary
Gilberto (Nene) Arcia-Perez, age 89 of Tampa, Florida passed away May 27, 2025. Born in Guiness, Cuba on August 10, 1935, Mr. Arcia came to the United States in 1967 with his family where he worked briefly as a Wallpaper Foreman in New Jersey. He later became a painter by trade when he moved to Miami, Florida. In 1981 he moved his family to Tampa where he called home until his passing. “El Nene”, as he was warmly known to all his family and friends, will be remembered for his humor, jokes, his love of dancing, and his famous pork roasts for Noche Buena and Año Nuevo. He was loved by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Gilberto is survived by his wife of 63 years Magaly Arcia of Tampa, Florida
Daughters: Jeanette (Miguel) Gonzalez, Lisset (Sal) Lupo, Blanca (Ricardo) Caiñas all from Tampa, Florida and Magali (Jorge) Moreno-Espinosa of Arroyo De Mantua, Cuba
Grandchildren: Jose Antonio (Jacqueline) Rodicio, Julian Lupo, Cecily Lupo, Giana Lupo (Benny), Jorge (Erika) Reyes, Vicki Reyes, Giovani Reyes, David Caiñas all of Tampa, Yunaisy Otero-Moreno and Jorge Otero-Moreno of Arroyo De Mantua, Cuba
19 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews
Gilberto is preceded in death by his parents Francisco Arcia and Lucia Perez of Guiness, Cuba, as well as his daughter who he referred to as “Ani La Bella” of Tampa.
Visitation will be held at Boza & Roel Funeral Home
Tuesday June 3, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for all family and friends
