George Cintron Jr.'s Obituary
George Cintron Jr., lovingly known by many as “George,” passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on June 5, 1951, at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, New York, George lived a life filled with music, love, laughter, and deep devotion to family and friends.
George spent his life creating memories in the Bronx, New York, Brentwood, Long Island, Union City and Lodi New Jersey, and later Tampa, Florida, where he continued to touch the lives of those around him with his warm spirit and caring heart.
He was the beloved son of George Cintron Sr. and Leticia Cintron. George leaves behind his devoted wife, Olga; his son, George Cintron III; his loving sisters, Helen and Kathy; along with many nieces and nephews whom he adored deeply along with Bailey his dog. Family meant everything to George, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
Music was one of George’s greatest passions. A talented percussionist, he brought joy and rhythm wherever he went, playing the timbales, congas, and bongos with heart and soul. His love for music was contagious and became part of the beautiful memories shared by those who knew him.
George had a carefree spirit and a gift for making people smile. He was a protective big brother, a compassionate friend, and a loving presence to everyone fortunate enough to know him. His playful nature, generous heart, and ability to make others feel welcomed and valued will never be forgotten.
A faithful member of Mission Hill Church, George attended services and Bible study regularly and cherished his church family as brothers and sisters in Christ. His faith was an important part of his life and brought him comfort, strength, and community.
George will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered for the joy, music, kindness, and love he shared so freely with others. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
