Fred "Niko" Rotolo Spoto's Obituary
Fred Rotolo Spoto “Niko”, cherished son of Guiseppe and Rosa Rotolo Spoto and loving husband of Annie Spoto lived to a young age of 92 before passing peacefully at the Melech Hospice House on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Niko a native of Florida, grew up on a dairy farm in Palm River, served in the US Army, was a stenographer for the Atlantic Coastline and retired from the American Can Company. He and Annie loved the comic “Love is…” and always signed each other’s cards with “I Love you Forever and Ever”. Niko never missed an opportunity to lead The Little Chicken dance as he and Annie both enjoyed music and dancing. He was greeted in heaven by his loving wife Annie Spoto, his brothers: Nelson, Sam, Peter and Joe, his sisters: Mary Costa, Josephine Chillura, Fannie Capaz and Adella Spoto, and many others. He is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Visitation will begin at 10 am, Thursday, June 30, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1711 E. 11th Ave, Ybor City, followed by a funeral mass celebrated at 11 am. Internment to follow at Garden of Memories. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Mr. Fred R. Spoto.
