Frank Vidal's Obituary
Frank Vidal Jr., 86, was born on October 26,1929 and passed away on Sunday, January 24. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Josephine, sister Norma Lopez, son Larry (Roberta), grandchildren Nikki Vidal and Keith Vidal, great-grandchildren Zoe and Atom Vidal, nephews Frank, Steve and Servando Lopez, Bob Delgado of Arizona and niece Debra Evans of Arizona.
Frank was predeceased by his father Francisco “Paco” Vidal, mother Covadonga Vidal and sister Gloria Delgado.
Frank was an Honors graduate of Hillsborough High School, Class of 1947. He proudly served in the Navy on the USS Midway. He worked side by side with his father at Gradiaz Annis Cigar Factory and was a sales associate for Ferman Oldsmobile. He never met a stranger and would constantly run into his customers whom he considered friends.
His list of friends could go on and on with meetings at coffee shops every week and regular stops at La Tropicana Cafe on Saturday morning with his wife and friends. His family was his life and he adored and cared deeply for them all. As for his friends, he would visit them wherever they were when they needed support. His memory will be etched in our hearts forever and ever. His smiling face, his caring ways, his respect and love for all of mankind will live on within the hearts of those he leaves behind. He will be missed here on earth but will be welcomed with open arms in heaven.
Pallbearers include Larry Vidal, Keith Vidal, Paul Ferlita, Bennie Diaz, Tony Diaz and Jimmy Castillo. Honorary pallbearers are: Paul DeMeza, Richard Hare, Willie Valdespino and Jim Woods.
Visitation will be Friday, January 29 beginning at 1:00PM followed by a service at 2:00PM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Av., Tampa. Interment will follow at Centro Asturiano Cemetery at 5400 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
