Latteri, Frances' Obituary
Frances Latteri, 88, from Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025. Affectionately known as Nana, she lived a full and vibrant life. She graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1954 and began working as a teacher’s aide for Hillsborough County Public Schools. Frances joined her husband, Anthony (Tony) Latteri Jr., as a secretary at their family business--Latteri & Son--until the company was sold in 2005.
She was a devoted wife to her husband, Tony, for 56 years, who preceded her in death along with their infant child, her parents (Phillip and Pauline Filippello), and sister, Rosalie Borucki.
She was survived by her two daughters, Denise Nessmith (Scott) and Desiree Guillen (Pablo), sister Maria A. Phillips, and brother Peter Filippello (Terry). Nana was extremely close to her three grandchildren, Nichole Guillen (Viktoria), Jenise Gorman (Jacob), and Anthony “Tony” Latteri (Rachael). She adored her great-grandchildren, Elena (11), Harper (8), Caden (6), Griffin (5), and Cody (1), in addition to many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers include Anthony “Tony” Latteri, Scott Nessmith, Pablo Hernandez, Johnny Pendino, Jacob Gorman, and Nichole Guillen.
Nana was passionate about shopping, cooking, traveling, spending time with her family, and listening to music, particularly enjoying the sounds of the Jersey Boys and Frank Sinatra. Nana will be greatly missed by her family.
