Fidelia "Fifi" Guerrero's Obituary
Fidelia Gonzalez Guerrero, lovingly referred to as “FiFi,” was born to parents Geraldo and Josephine Gonzalez on March 15, 1943 in Ybor City, Florida. After a long and hard-fought battle with dementia, Fidelia passed away at the age of 81 on June 22, 2024. She is survived by her husband, Agustin Guerrero; her 5 children, Connie, Agustin Jr., JoAnna, Anna, and David; her 10 grandchildren, Sophia, David D., Agustin III, Brittany, Mariah, Caridad, Elijah, Robert, Jonas, and Wyatt; 8 great grandchildren, Kya, Isaiah, Azana, Layla, Liam, Emilia, Agustin “Auggie” IIII, and Grayson; As well as her only brother, Geraldo “Jerry” Jr. FiFi had a never-ending love for family. She was the homemaker in her household, and raised her 5 children with an abundance of love and care, along with acting as the mother of the neighborhood, offering aid, comfort, and home-cooked meals to any child in need. She was the best mom anyone could ever ask for. Ever since she was young, FiFi had a strong love for children, education, and cooking. This naturally led her to the Hillsborough County School District, in which she worked as the head cook at Tinker Elementary School, and left a lifelong impact on every student and staff member she interacted with. Her favorite activities were fishing, crabbing, going to the beach, and most of all, spending time with her family. She will be terribly missed by all of her family and friends, but the lessons she taught us, and the memories we shared will live on forever. Through Fidelia, we can all learn how to love endlessly without condition, and give our all to those who are around us. Services will be held at Boza and Roel Funeral Home on July 1, 2024 at 4730 N Armenia Ave, Tampa, FL 33603. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, service will be held from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, and at 2:00 pm she will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery (Pyramid Crypt) located at 3412 N Ola Ave, Tampa, FL 33603. After services have concluded, all are welcome to reconvene at Agustin Guerrero’s home in which we will dedicate our time towards remembering this amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. In lieu of flowers the family would like those who choose to donate, to donate to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
