Felix Figueroa Sr.'s Obituary
FIGUEROA Sr., Felix, 80, of Tampa, Fla., entered into rest on February 10, 2016 and joins his beloved wife of 53 years, Helen A. Figueroa. Felix was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1958. Felix is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Jerry) Perez; son, Felix Figueroa Jr.; grandson, Dr. Bradford (Amy) Perez; grand-daughter, Brittany Perez; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Matthew, and Andrew Perez; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws who loved him. Felix worked over 30 years for the U.S. Postal Service in Tampa. Felix enjoyed a lively retirement, working in his home cabinet remodeling business with Papo, and donating much of his time and energy to the German American Club, where he and Helen danced and celebrated on many Saturday nights. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening, at the chapel of Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Avenue,Tampa. Graveside services to take place the following day, 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Pallbearers include, Jerry Perez, Dr. Bradford Perez, Elias Quintana, Vernon Tatum, Jarrod Tatum, and Arthur Alvarez Jr. The family is eternally grateful for the loving care provided for Felix by the staff of Blue Angel Assisted Living Facility and his home care team, Haydee, Doreen, and Mari.
