Eugene M. De La Parte's Obituary
DeLaParte, Eugene M., 90, a lifelong Tampa resident, passed away on Jan. 16, 2018. Gene attended Jefferson High School before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1945. Upon his return he owned and operated “Gene’s 66 Service” on Columbus Dr. and Nebraska Ave. until his retirement. Marian, his wife of 63 years precedes Gene in death. Survivors include daughter, Marcia Escobio (Kenny), son, Mark (Lisa), grandchildren Kristen Kelley (Bryan), Kimberly Granell (Sam-Anthony), Lauren DeLaParte, John Michael Privitere, and great granddaughters Brooke Kelley and Daniella Granell, along with several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to caregivers, Hortensia Perez and Caridad Delgado for all their love and devotion in Gene’s later years. A funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Monday, Jan 22, 2018 and the family will receive relatives and friends from 11 am to 12 pm at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave. Entombment will follow in Garden of Memories. Flowers will be accepted or contributions in Gene’s memory may be made to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
