Esmeralda Valdez's Obituary
Esmeralda Valdez, 94, passed away peacefully May 20, 2020. Born Esmeralda Sardina in Tampa, where she lived until recent years at her homes in Ybor City and West Tampa. She worked in the Hillsborough County School System for 28 years on the lunchroom staff before retiring. In recent years she lived at the Brookdale Assisted Senior Living facility in New Port Richey. Esmeralda was predeceased by her husband, Robert Valdez. She leaves behind her two children, Robert Valdez, Jr. (Pam) of Odessa and Patricia Cagno (Sal) now residing in Raleigh, NC as well as five grandchildren, Robert Charles Valdez (Tiffany), Vincent Valdez, Michelle Jarriel, Beverly Stevens (Jeff) and Sal Cagno (Dawn) plus six great-grandchildren, Sophia, Lennon, Emily, Shane, Alexis Marie and Natalie. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A viewing will be held at Boza and Roel Funeral Home in Tampa on June 5 at 10:00 for one hour. This will be followed by a short service at Pyramid Crypts at 11:30am.
