Rodriguez, Ernest “ROD” J. Sr., 89. A lifelong member of the Tampa, Fl. community known for the love of his family, son of Enrique Texido and Mary Rodriguez, brother to the late Henry and Albert Rodriguez, passed in peace surrounded by family on March 28, 2018. United States Army Veteran of the 11th Airborne Paratrooper Glider Division, member of the St. Petersburg Rotary Club, and Vice President of Allen Drug Company, St. Petersburg. A man proud of his family’s long history and involvement with the introduction of Cuban bread to Ybor City. He is survived by his loving wife Jennie Rodriguez of 68 years, his children; Ernest J. Rodriguez Jr., His wife Lourdes, Sharon Bayhi and her husband Billy, Lisa McGuire, Marc Rodriguez and his wife Cheryl, and his son-in-law James David McGuire. Grandchildren: Rebecca Hope Ploehn, Rachael Rodriguez, Nikki Rodriguez Mendez and her husband Omar, Jennie Flores and her husband Raul, Carl Bayhi and his wife Jessica, Deanna McGuire-Ames and her husband Jonathan, Aubrey McGuire, and Pierce Rodriguez. Nephew and Godson: James Taylor, Great Grandchildren: Hannah Ploehn, Adrianna Flores, Xavier Mendez and Sophia Flores. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm On Friday April 6th, then, Mass will be follow at 2:00pm, all at Incarnation Catholic Church, 5124 Gateway Drive, Tampa, FL 33615 Burial will then be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
