Ernest Cookie Garcia peacefully passed away on March 15,2022. He was a native of Tampa who was predeceased by his parents Dora & Andres Garcia and his brother Andrew J. Garcia. He is survived by his children Valarie Garcia Cappell Read Obituary
As I watched the tribute to Mr. Garcia, all I could think about was fruitfulness. In this season of Lent, as we await the celebration of the glory of Jesus’ resurrection, we are all called upon to be as fruitful as we can be in this lifetime, and from the love in the images that I saw, I can’t imagine that Cookie could have done more than he did. May he rest in the Lord’s everlasting peace. My condolences to the family, and especially to my lifelong friend, Karen.
Hello to all. My Uncle Cookie was a great person and always made my time with him over the years so special. I have so many to share about. I will always have in my mind out last chat on face time last weekend. You have that smile I will never forget up until your last breath here on earth. To be honest with you we grew even closer after my dad passed last March. We would talk several times during the week. Thank you for your calls over the past year.
To Louie Jr., Karen & Val. Great dad you all had and know that he is now resting in Peace, pain free up in Heaven with my dad and others who have passed.

We will truly miss the beautiful man we knew as "Cookie". We first met Cookie when he came to visit our daughter and his grandson in New York a few years ago. We were impressed that flew up from Florida by himself, rented a hotel room nearby and all he wanted was to do was go to a ballgame and take us out to dinner. He wouldn't take NO for an answer. That's the man we remember; generous, kind, loving and very determined.
