Elizabeth V. Russo's Obituary
Elizabeth V Russo, 84 passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 16, 1933 in Ybor City to Gaetano and Providencia Guastella. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Frank, her parents, her brothers Joe and Anthony, her sisters Josie Varsalona and Rosalie Diecidue, Nephews Johnnie and Frank Guastella and Jimmie Varsalona. She was a homemaker and later helped with her son’s business at Hometown News and Cigars. Elizabeth loved and lived for her family. She was a wonderful loving wife, and an exceptional mother and grandmother. Elizabeth leaves behind a son R. Frank Russo; her daughter, Rosaree Skidmore (Pat), two grandsons that she adored and who adored her- Patrick II and Andrew, her brother John Guastella (Cam), several nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members and friends. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, November 25, @ 11 o’clock from the chapel at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Ave, with entombment to follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Pallbearers include: Pat Skidmore, Patrick Skidmore II, Andrew Skidmore, Lawrence Guastella, Terry Russo, Henry McGrew, Craig D’Amico, Bryan McGrew. Honorary – John Guastella, John Guastella II, Peter G. Guastella, Anthony H. Guastella and Jeff Winters. The family will receive friends Friday evening, November 24, from 6 – 8 PM at the Funeral Home. Flowers accepted or donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her name. A special and sincere thanks to Dr Vytykac, Dr Mallick and the nurses in ICU at St Joseph Hospital South especially Michael, Stephanie, Ashley and Ania.
