Edward Cunningham Jr.'s Obituary
Edward Cunningham Jr,68, passed, Monday December 12,2022.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Regina A Cunningham; his daughters, Lea R Cunningham; Jennifer L Cunningham; Stephanie J Cunningham; his mother, Nora L Cunningham; his sister, Diane Edwards; grandchildren Chase E Cunningham; Sydney J Cunningham; Julian Sanabria; Julius Sanabria and many close friends.
Edward was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, and is the son of Edward Cunningham Sr. and Nora (Moten) Cunningham. Edward lived in the Bronx all his life before settling in Tampa Florida with his lovely family.
While attending Alfred E. Smith high school Edward prospered in football playing for the Warriors and achieved a third-degree black belt in Japanese Goju. Edward went on to becoming a successful businessman by opening a coalition business named “UNITED WE STAND”, as well as his own dojo. Edward dedicated his life to helping others achieve their goals.
Edward also had a passion for cars and music, Edward even made his passion for music a reality by starting his own music label Cut throat Records. Edward was also known for his great sense of humor and big heart. He kept people rolling in laughter because he could find humor in the most mundane life circumstances. Every year Edward would put on the biggest fireworks show for his whole neighbor and family.
Edward also was a founder of a strong African America crew “Black Spades” that help graciously with the black community. Edward was his government name but everyone knew him and called him CUTTY.
He was truly a great soul and inspiration for those who knew him. He will truly be missed.
Memorial services will be held Saturday December 17, 2022 at Boza & Roel Funeral Home at 5pm
