Edelmira V. Albano's Obituary
Albano, Edelmira (Beva) Valiente Perez, 93, of Tampa, died peacefully August 15, 2015 at the Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, Fl. She is survived by her loving son, Frank Perez, Jr. and daughter in law, Yolanda (Yolie) Perez; grandsons, David Perez Sr. (Patricia) and Wayne A. Perez; granddaughters, Chantel Diaz (Alberto) and Cherie Barnwell (Darrin). She is also survived by nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; two sisters in law, Yolanda Valiente and Lois Valiente, both of New Orleans, La. She also leaves behind several loving and devoted nieces and nephews and many loving friends. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Perez, Sr. and her second husband, Frank Albano; her parents, Jose Valiente and Tomasa Valiente Suarez; her son, Gilbert J. Perez; her infant daughter JoAnn Perez; her grandson, Christopher M. Perez; and her five brothers, Peter, Joe, Nilo, Arturo and Felino Valiente. Edelmira worked for many years as a cigarmaker in Ybor City and later Frank Albano and Edelmira owned Majestic Clearners on E. Broadway. When they sold the drycleaners, they decided to open a Mom & Pop plant nursery and Frank’s Nursery was created on 59th Street, which was visited by many over the years. The family will receive friends for Visitation Thursday, August 20, 2015 between 10 and 11 AM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Avenue, Tampa. Services will be at 11 AM at the funeral home, followed by Interment at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Edelmira’s life. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Humane Society of Tampa.
