Dora Coalla Ortiz's Obituary
Dora Coalla Ortiz, 99, passed away peacefully August 27, 2025. Dora was the youngest of three children all born and raised in Ybor City by their parents Manolo and Aurora Coalla, both immigrants from Asturias, Spain. She graduated from Hillsborough High school with high honors. She raised two children, enjoyed sewing and watching the Bucs and Rays games but her passion was loving her family.
She was predeceased by her husband Michael Robert Ortiz Sr. (Bob), her parents Manolo and Aurora Coalla, brothers Joe and Eddie Coalla. Dora will be lovingly remembered by her children Darlene Ramputi (Bill), Michael Robert Ortiz Jr. (Tara). Grandchildren Gino Ramputi, Gina Ramputi Dennis (Jasen), Megan Ramputi Joyce (Patrick). Great grandchildren, Gabby Ramputi, Gino Ramputi Gianna Dennis, Jacob Dennis, Chase Dennis, Larkin Dennis, Mack Joyce, Moses (her grand dog) and many other family and friends.
A very special thank you to her caregivers Agustina, Anicia, Anna and Empath Hospice for whom we are very grateful too. There will be a closed casket visitation at Boza/Roel Funeral Home Friday September 5 from 10-11 followed by a gravesite service at Garden of Memories at 12.
