Diana Montalbano's Obituary
MONTALBANO, Diana P. , 68 of Tampa, born Halloween 1944, was called to heaven on September 18, 2013 as one of God's newest angels after a valiant battle with cancer. Born and raised in Tampa with never a loss for a story about Ybor City, "Mama" graduated from Jefferson High School and the University of South Florida. A former teacher, she later moved to Miami where she lived over 20 years before returning to her native Tampa. Diana is survived by her soul mate and loving husband of 47 years, Richard; son, Rich, daughter, Lisa Tannebaum (Brian); the loves of her life - granddaughters, Alexa and Marissa, as well as many other relatives and special friends all who remember Diana's love of life, family, travel, Broadway, and especially, Christmas. The family suggests that donations may be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8 pm at the Boza & Roel Funeral Home located at 4730 N Armenia Avenue. Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Doral Florida on Thursday.
