Delsa Lee Puerta's Obituary
Delsa Puerta, a Tampa native, returned to her eternal home on September 21, 2023, at the age of 74. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jorge Peon and Arland and Donna Crosby, her siblings, Jack Crosby, Jeanette Roberts, George Crosby, Alfred Crosby, and Arlene McLendon, her husbands, Braulio Bermudez, Jr. and Mariano Puerta, and her daughter, Lynda Michelle Bermudez. She’s survived by her siblings, Miriam Notario, David Crosby, Karen Vijil, and Annette Gallagher, children, Tony Puerta and his wife Joy Puerta, Rick Puerta, Debra Bermudez, James Bermudez and his wife Crystal Bermudez, and Michael Bermudez, her grandchildren, Michael Cook and his wife Cristel Anderson, Angela Puerta, Anthony Puerta, Jordan Bermudez, Logan Bermudez, Madison Bermudez, Eden Bermudez, Wyatt Crosby, and Alice Crosby, and her beloved dog, Blue. She was a beloved aunt, cousin, friend, and neighbor. She graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1969 and later worked there in the cafeteria. She retired from Hillsborough County Schools as the Assistant Cafeteria Manager. She was a faithful, active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of her life. Services will be held at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave, Tampa, FL 33603. The viewing will be Tuesday, September 26th from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral and burial will be held on Wednesday, September 27th at 9:30 am. The family requests that all attendees wear cheerful bright colors as those where Delsa’s favorite.
