Mrs. Deloros M. Goodspeed's Obituary
Deloros M. Goodspeed, 89, passed away peacefully at home in Dade City, Florida on February 23, 2010 after an extended illness. She was born to Dr. Charles Conlee and Mary (Klimesh) Conlee on April 22, 1920, in Cook, Nebraska. She is predeceased by her husband, Karlton K. Goodspeed, her parents, her brother Charles, and sisters Dorothy and Aileen. An avid musician and lifetime member of AFM Local #721 Tampa, Deloros left college to travel the country with an all girl traveling band. She and Karlton, a pianist, married in 1948 and performed as "The Debonaires." They eventually settled in Tampa and established a home. Deloros was employed by the American Heart Association, Hillsborough County Chapter in 1958 and worked there for over 25 years, still playing local venues with her husband. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Tampa, FL on Monday March 1, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. Donations to Hernando Pasco Hospice in lieu of flowers are appreciated.
