Dalia Rodriguez's Obituary
Dalia Rodriguez Valdez passed peacefully in her sleep at her residence on April 18, 2012. She was a native of Ybor City and graduate of OLPH Academy. She was an athlete in her youth. Her love of sports lead her to coach girls softball at West Tampa Little League. She was an excellent seamstress. She became an agile wallpaper hanger and painter. She worked in many prestigious homes in the south Tampa area and was known for her meticulousness. On her list duties as a homemaker she included carpentry, electrician, gardener and even climbed roofs. She always viewed herself as capable of any type of work whether it be a man's job or not.
She is survived by her five children Leslie, Lucy Ann, Louise Mary, Lynn Josephine and Francisco. She was preceded in death by her husband Francisco (Pancho) Rodriguez. She is also survived by her only brother Rodolfo Valdez, nephew Christopher and niece Julie.
Closest to her heart were her had seven grandchildren, Christian, Brian, Kevin, Megan, Salome, Derek and James and three great grandchildren, Alexander, Caroline and Kaiden.
The family will be celebrating her life on April 27, 2012 at St. Paul's Church at 7:00 PM in the evening. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The American Heart Association or a charity of your choosing.
