Ms. Cynthia (Cindy) J. Shaw's Obituary
SHAW, Cynthia (Cindy) J., 66, of Tampa, Florida, entered into eternal rest on February 20, 2010. A loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, she was predeceased by her parents, Blumer and Winnie B., and brothers, T.J. and Ronnie. She is survived by her brother, Bud and Noreen Shaw; sister, Joanne and Jack Close; nieces and nephews, Joseph and Martha Shaw, Janice and Bill Gordon, Jeff Shaw, Jennifer Dumas, Kendal Shaw, Sherryl and Ray Bustillos, Donald and Charlene Shaw; great nieces and nephews, Dana Whitfield, Amanda Brown, Courtney Gordon, Jessica and Heather Dumas, Kenli and Tyler Shaw; great-great nieces and nephews, Morgan Whitfield, Cierra Lowe, Xavier, Lucas, and Ahren Brown, Evangeline Gordon; and many other relatives and friends. An avid sports advocate, two of her proudest achievements was watching the Tampa Bay Rays and attending a World Series game when they won the American League pennant in 2008, and her involvement with women's softball...first as a player, then as a coach and most recently as the director of the Cindy Shaw All-Night Halloween Women's Softball Tournament that has taken place annually for the last 32 years.
