Crescencia Alicia Alvarez's Obituary
ALVAREZ, Crescencia Alicia, 94, of Tampa, lovingly known as Alicia, passed away peacefully
on Sunday, May 15, 2016. Alicia was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She was a registered nurse.
She was also very involved in the community while a resident of Brooklyn, New York, and
Tampa. She is survived by her loving children, daughters Doris E. Rivera and Linda A. Thorpe
(David); son John Rivera; grandchildren, Cladi Louis Rosario, Jr., Melissa Ann Holovach
(Matthew), Peter James Rivera (Marina), James A. Rivera, Jenny Rivera, Cordero Joseph Rivera, and Ashlie Rivera; great grandchildren Leah, Madison, Josslyne, Aiden, Ava, Alexander, Ashton and Akilah; brother, Maximino Alvarez (Celia); nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Celedonia Alvarez, her two sons, Peter Rivera and James Rivera, and her brother, Pablo Alvarez. The family will receive friends for Visitation Friday, May 20, 2016, between 5 and 9 PM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Avenue, Tampa. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 21, 2016, at 9 AM at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 17512 Lakeshore Road, Lutz, FL 33558. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa.
