Constance Anne Flaherty's Obituary
Constance Anne (Spoto) Flaherty, born on 25 March 1924 in Ybor City, died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, 15 September 2021, at a Tampa nursing home. She was 97 years old. Connie (or Concettina, as she was known in her family) was predeceased by her husband Robert, parents Angelina and Giovanni Spoto, step-father Stefano Spoto, brother Pietro, and sister
Josephine Licata. She is survived by her loving family: sons Michael (Gretchen) Flaherty, Robert (Keiko) Flaherty, and daughter Christina (Bryan) Zapf; grandchildren Rachel Flaherty, Richard, Catherine and Christopher Flaherty, Peter and Evan Zapf, Emily (Jesse) Molnar; nephews Peter and Stephen Licata and their families. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, 27 September 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Incarnation Catholic Church, 8220 West Hillsborough Avenue, Tampa. A family gathering will be postponed due to COVID concerns. Connie enjoyed a long life devoted to her husband and family. We will miss her, and pray that her soul may rest in peace.
