My husband and I were Claire's caretakers for the past two years. We took her to doctors' appointments, shopping, to get gas; all of the mundane types of things associated with day-to-day living. But, during this time, we came to know her intimately and truly loved her. Through Claire, we learned about God's love, that it is unconditional. It didn't matter to us that we weren't related, but we "became family"; Claire's family. We thank God for the opportunity to have known Claire. She enriched our lives and I hope that we did the same for her. We will miss you, "Little Mama" and know that you were loved. We will carry your memory in our hearts as long as we both live.
