Charlotte T Hinson's Obituary
Charlotte Torano Hinson was born on August 19, 1929 in Ybor City. She passed away peacefully at her home on May 13, 2021. Charlotte was a graduate at Hillsborough High School in 1947. In 1953, Charlotte began her career in the telephone industry when she went to work for Florida Peninsular Telephone Company. She later became employed by General Telephone Company. In 1970, Charlotte was one of seven women chosen to be promoted to assignor dispatcher. She retired from General Telephone Company in 1976.
Charlotte is survived by her husband Coy Hinson of 64 years. She is also survived by her son George (Marilyn), Ft. Wayne IN., son Carl Hinson (Yvette) Tampa, FL. six grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death her daughter, Diana Lyn, and Charlotte's brother Joseph Torano. Charlotte's family expresses their sincere appreciation to Cheryl Livingston, and Glenna Daugintis for their love, support and compassion for taking care of Charlotte these past few years. Services will be held at 1100am on Wednesday May 19, 2021 at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave. Tampa, FL. 33603. Burial to follow at Orange Hill Cemetery.
