Charles H. Edmiston's Obituary
EDMISTON, Charles Harold, 93, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 12, 2012 surrounded by loving family. He was born in Vinton, Ohio on 2-5-1919 and lived there until he enlisted in the US Army in WWII and proudly served as a radar technician in North Africa and Europe. Upon returning to Drew Field in Tampa he married the love of his live, Colleen Williams, and were about to celebrate their 67th anniversary. Over the years, they lived in Vinton, Ohio, Tampa, Ruskin and most recently Land O Lakes, Fl. He was a rancher and cattle auctioneer at livestock markets throughout central Florida.
He is predeceased by his parents Clayton and Grace Edmiston, brother Dr. Phillip Edmiston and children; Charles Clayton, Cathy Eileen, and Norton Patten. He is survived by his wife, Colleen; children Lisa Edmiston, Susan Juarez (Richard) granddaughter, Kelley Cutillo, sister Mary Lanier of Vinton, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at St. John the Divine Annex, 815 College Ave., East in Ruskin, Fl. The Episcopal Eucharistic Burial Service will be held at 2:00 with a reception following. Interment will be on Saturday, October 20th in Vinton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to all of the Doctors, Nurses and caregivers over the years.
