Charles William Brown's Obituary
Charles William Brown (81), Lakeland, FL, formerly of Marion, OH, passed away January 23, 2023 at Kindred Hospital, Tampa, FL, after a battle with illness.
Charles was born in Akron, OH to Robert and Margaret (Marhevsky) Brown. He graduated from St. Vincent – St. Mary High School in Akron, OH and eventually moved to Marion, OH where he worked as a Service Director for local car dealerships for many years until his retirement to Florida. He was an avid golfer and loved to read.
He was a devoted Catholic throughout his entire life and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Marion, OH, and then Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Lakeland, FL.
He is survived by his children, Charles Brown JR., Columbus, OH, Lucinda (Kevin) Pfeifer, Cardington, OH, John Brown, Boynton Beach, FL, & Scott (Jennifer) Brown, St. Petersburg, FL; his siblings, Robert (Dottie) Brown, Akron, OH, Margaret Kaverman, Pheonix, AZ, Patricia (George) Callahan, Akron, OH, Mary Sandor, Akron, OH, & sister-in-law Anne Wood, Columbus, OH; granddaughters, Stephanie Pfeifer and Avery Pfeifer, Cardington, OH, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother Stephen Brown, and granddaughter Emily Brown.
He will be cremated, per his wishes. Memorial Service to be announced at a later date.
