Charles Edward Brocker Jr.'s Obituary
Charles Edward Brocker, Jr., age 77, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025. He was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey on May 27, 1948. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Charlie graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business.
He married Sherry Lynne Gates of West Palm Beach, Florida in 1972 and moved to North Carolina where he was a restaurant manager for Union 76 Truck Stops. He and his wife later moved to Norcross, Georgia, where he was employed with Holiday Inn. In 1980, they moved to Tampa, Florida to be near to family. He continued his career in food distribution starting his own business, Brocker Brokerage Company.
Charlie enjoyed Buccaneer football, playing Pinball, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Edward Brocker of Apoka, Florida and his mother Johanna Scanlan Brocker of Pembroke Pines, Florida; and sister Johanna Brocker of Chicago, Illinois.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry, son, Charles Paul Brocker and wife Jessica of Lutz, Florida; granddaughter, Isabella Adelle Brocker; sister Suzanne Crain and husband, Robert, of Hawthorne, Florida; brother Mark Brocker of Orlando, Florida; niece: Suzanne Storz.
