Charles Oliver Bledsoe's Obituary
"My loving, shining star and soulmate Charlie, we will love you forever.-Jeanette"
Charles Oliver Bledsoe, 88, passed August 17 in Tampa.
He was born on August 15, 1931 to the late Jasper Oliver Bledsoe and Helen Irene Chauncey Bledsoe in a small town outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Charles and his wife, through the opportunities that military life gave them, traveled all over Europe together when he was stationed in Germany. After serving The United States Air Force for 20 years, he retired and worked for Hillsborough County Schools for 20 plus years. Charles was a simple man, his family remembers fondly, who always put his family and others first and did whatever he could to take care of his loved ones; it was always evident he loved his family greatly.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Jeanette Diez Bledsoe; son, Wayne Bledsoe and wife, Maira; daughters, Francine Gorton and husband, Chris, and Belinda Bledsoe; brother, Floyd Bledsoe, sisters, Floyce Smith and Wilma Fowler of Tennessee; 4 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 11am-1:30pm Sunday, August 25 at Boza and Roel Funeral Home with a service to follow at 1:30 PM. Burial will be 12:30 PM Monday, August 26, 2019 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital.
