Charles O. Barreto's Obituary
BARRETO, Charles O., age 80, passed away on July 26,2013 at his home in Seminole Heights. He was born May 16,1933 in Ybor City where he grew up. A fact of which he was very proud. He graduated fro O.L.P.H. in 1951 and is still a member of OLPH Catholic Church. Charlie majored in art at the Art Institute of Chicago and also attended the University of Tampa. He was a very gifted man and was blessed with a beautiful voice and loved singing and acting with Rene Gonzalez and the Spanish Lyric Theatre for many years. He was also gifted with his hands and that showed in all the things he built in his home and his art work. Charlie was a devoted husband to his loving wife of 48 years, Dot Barreto. A wonderful father to his 2 sons, Tony Carrillo (Donna)and Chuck Barreto (Karen). A loving Abuelo to his 4 grandchildren Tara and Danny Carrillo, Kaileen and Charlie Barreto. He is also survived by his brother, Ruben Barreto (Rosie) and 9 loving nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Albert and Reynaldo Barreto. Memorial donations can be made to OLPH Church, Centro Asturiano or the ruby team of LifePath Hospice for whom we are very grateful. The family will receive friends at the Boza & Roel funeral home located at 4730 N Armenia Avenue on Friday from 2-3 pm and a Memorial service will begin at 3 pm
