Fernandez, Carmen's Obituary
Carmen Fernandez was born in Havana, Cuba on October 25, 1964 to her mother Carmen Curbelo and father Adolfo Fernandez. She left Cuba on September 28, 1970 and moved to Tampa while her mother worked diligently to give her the beautiful life she deserved. Carmen attended Villa Madonna from K-8th grade and graduated from Hillsborough high school (82) After arriving in Tampa in 1970, she decided to continue her roots in the Tampa Bay Area and develop meaningful and everlasting relationships with friends the minute they met her. Carmen started a family of her own and worked hard since day one to give her children everything they needed and more. Her life was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Carmen was dedicated and loyal to her job at Syniverse Technologies for over 35 years and established beautiful friendships with coworkers over the years. The relationships Carmen created will never be forgotten. It will be nearly impossible to forget her continued kindness to others, willingness to help those in need, and the sacrifices she made every day for her family.
Carmen is survived by her mother (Carmen), husband (Juan), daughter (Maricarmen), son (Mario), son in law (Javier), daughter in law (Megan), grandsons (Zavier), (Roman), (Dominic), and fur babies Captain, Choki, Nala, and Beautiful.
Celebration of Life mass will be held at St Joseph's Catholic Church on October 26, 2024, at 1:00pm with a reception to follow at 2:30pm at La Teresita Restaurant 3248 W. Columbus Dr Tampa FL 33607.
