Carmen M. Cano's Obituary
Carmen Cano, 94, passed away May 2, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Havana, Cuba in 1924 and came to Tampa in 1961. She is the widow of Gaspar Cano (married in 1947). She worked at J. C. Valenti and Villazon Cigar Factory. She loved her Cuban Coffee and plantanas and was a very giving person. Her great grandchildren were her greatest treasures, and her family will always remember her as the definition of Love.
She is survived by her two daughters, Vivian Bulnes (Rene) and Nancy Cano; four grandchildren, Michelle Suarez (Danny), Johnny Gonzalez (Leyda), Jennifer Ulmer (Dennis), and Alan Bulnes; three great grandchildren Shayla Gonzalez, Landon Ulmer, and Ava Ulmer; and many Nieces and Nephews including Nestor Sanchez, Lisa Sanchez, Iliana Andreu, Carmen Caride, Mayra, Mirita, and many more. Her kindness and love of family and friends will forever be etched in our hearts. A Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Monday, May 7 at Boza and Roel Funeral Home in Tampa with a Funeral Service to follow. Interment will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 8 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tampa.
Pallbearers are: Johnny Gonzalez, Alan Bulnes, Rene Bulnes, Dennis Ulmer, Nestor Sanchez, and Danny Suarez. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Landon Ulmer, Eddie Garcia, and Roland Bulnes.
