Mr. Carlos Roque's Obituary
Carlos "Charlie" Roque, 88, passed away at the Baldomero Lopez Veterans Nursing Home on August 11, 2007. His health had been declining for sometime and he passed away peacefully in the company of family members. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Camelia, who died in 2000. He is survived by his daughter, Sylvia (Mrs. Jerry McGinty), grandson, Mark McGinty, great-granddaughter, Avery Inez McGinty, sisters, Molly (Mrs. George Bello), Margarita Rodriguez and many nieces and nephews. Charlie was born in Tampa, FL (Ybor City) and was a resident of West Tampa since 1959. He served in the U.S. Navy in WW II, and was a member of Painters Local Union 88 and American Legion Post 248. The family wishes to thank the staff at Baldomero Lopez Veterans Nursing Home and Hernando Pasco Hospice for the wonderful care given to Charlie over the past few months. Funeral services will be on Friday at 1:30 pm at the funeral home located at 4730 N Armenia Avenue. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 am-1:30 pm.
