Carlos Canino Rodriguez's Obituary
CANINO-RODRIGUEZ, Carlos, 81, was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, on June 12, 1936, and passed away on September 7, 2017. He was a retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant and Green Beret who served proudly with the 5th Special Forces Group in Vietnam and the 7th Special Forces Group at Fort Bragg, NC. His military service spanned 21 years, serving honorably in post-war Korea, and in France, Vietnam, and Germany. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, he is survived by Sofia, his loving wife of 58 years; children: Brenda Canino, Cinthia Canino, Diana Canino, Carlos Canino, Jacquelyn Canino; siblings: Robert Canino, Manuel Canino, Martha Canino, Francisco Cruz, Jorge Cruz; and 9 grandchildren. Family will receive friends at 9 am – 10 am with a funeral service beginning at 10 am, Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N Armenia Ave, Tampa, FL 33603. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
