I remember my first bowling ball (of the many purchased from his pro shop) and bowling assistance I got from Carl. He was a kind a knowledgeable man. He answered questions I had and assisted me with whatever bowling problem I had. I was so very shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. Carl, you will always be the bowling coach I never had. I visited Carl in the pro shop on behalf of Storm Bowling Products for years. He was always kind to me and made me feel special. He was a special man that loved bowling and his family and I am grateful to have customers like him. One of my first visits we sat down in the back of the store and had some coffee and conversations, what a classy guy. We at Storm appreciate a long lifetime of his love for bowling, people and contributions to the sport.

Every time I (Gene) came back from an overseas assignment is was always Mr. Carl that I enjoyed seeing at the bowling alley. It was truly a privilege and honor for me to dedicate to him and his family a US Flag flown in combat. Mr. Carl was to all "the best of the best."
