LOWRY, C. Richard , 84, of Tampa passed away September 18, 2012 peacefully, with his family at his side, following a brave battle with cancer. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Martha, and son, Rick. In addition two sisters, Mai Parrish and Mary Gossum reside in Tampa. He was long an employee of Florida Portland Cement before assuming his position as Senior Activities Director at Idlewild Baptist Church. He loved and was loved by his family. Richard valued his friends, life and serving his Lord at Idlewild. Visitation will be Monday, September 24 at 10 AM followed by an 11 AM service at Idlewild Baptist Church. An interIment will be held later at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Senior Adult Ministry of Idlewild Baptist Church.
