Bruce Chamberlin Hall's Obituary
Bruce Hall was a man of many talents and strengths who demonstrated qualities that were truly admirable. He spent his life giving of himself to others and was always willing to step forward to serve in useful ways whether helping a neighbor with an outdoor project or delivering donated items to charitable organizations.Bruce was instrumental in supporting his spiritual homes at Unity of Tampa, where he served on the board, and Together in Peace, where he did anything asked, from helping with setup to serving the homeless. He spent the past decade supporting Mothers Against Drunk Driving, chairing fundraising events, motivating the volunteers and orchestrating logistics.
He lived his life with passion in all endeavors including: becoming a Master Scuba Diver, sailboat racing with his good friends, and exploring his music interests through playing percussion in three bands. He led the percussion section in the Second Time Arounders marching band, marched in the 2008 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and was looking forward to marching again in 2019.Bruce was a hard worker and a great leader who enjoyed a successful career. He was admired by his employees and colleagues who learned the importance of being authentic from the example he set.Bruce was a true American, serving in the Marine Corps from 1976 until 1981. He was proud to be an American.
Bruce’s greatest passion was his family: supporting them, protecting them and providing subtle guidance. His family always counted on him for the answers they needed and could depend on him to always have their backs. Becoming a grandfather changed his life and his grandchildren were his whole heart. His heart lit up as bright as his eyes whenever they were with him.Bruce was never one to be in the spotlight, but his quiet presence will remain an example to each of us. He has been an example to us all and we will always ask ourselves “how would Bruce/Dad handle this”.
