Bennie Wayne Ford's Obituary
Bennie Wayne Ford of Citrus Springs, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 at the age of 64 due to a chronic lung condition.
Bennie was born on December 4th, 1959 in Tampa, Florida to Johnnie and Cleo Ford. On June 19th, 1993 Bennie married Sheila Schlechty in Boynton Beach, Florida where they continued to reside for 23 years and began their family. In October 2016, Bennie and his family moved to Citrus County, Florida. He attended church at the First Baptist Church of Crystal River. Bennie is survived by his wife, Sheila, and two children, Shayla (Getro Alexis) and Logan. Additionally, Bennie is survived by two grandchildren, Ezra and Amir Alexis. Bennie is also survived by his two sisters Barbara Purcell (Jim) and Joyce Carmichael. Many people remember Bennie as kind hearted, caring and funny. Bennie was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle to his family. The family will receive visitors on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 5:00 p.m - 7:00 p.m at Boza and Roel Funeral Home in Tampa, Florida. There will be an additional viewing on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 9:00 a.m - 10:00 a.m. Pastor Tim Lantzy will be officiating the funeral service immediately following the viewing on Saturday. The graveside service will start at 12:00 p.m at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park in Tampa, Florida.
