Arlene Colon's Obituary
Arlene Colon, age 69, was born in Bronx, New York, on September 4, 1951. She passed away, on Thursday, January 14, 2021, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, Arlene was remarkable at bringing the family together, most especially over July the fourth holidays. For many years, the family would unite and she would prepare meals, and open her home, in Allentown, PA, so the family could barbeque, swim and enjoy the firework display. She was dedicated to her family and loved to see them happy.
Arlene worked as a caregiver, for the major part of her career. She advanced from a Health aid to Home health and attained her degree as a phlebotomist. She loved scary movies, music, dancing, gardening, and knew how to party!
Arlene was preceded in death by her father Luis Colon, and is survived by her mother Doris Colon, her son Raul Anthony Colon, and three daughters Melissa Nadal, Evita Sookram, Christina Sookram and her husband Justin Doseck. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Evita, Kasserine, Tatiyana, Aidan, Alexii, Christian, and Arya. She has two great –grandchildren, Dominic and Aliana. Two sisters, Alma Rivera, Carmen Colon and her brother Javier Colon; and a number of loving family and close friends.
A visitation service will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at 5 PM and a catholic service celebrating her life will be held on Friday January 22, 2021, at 11am, at Boza & Roel Funeral Home 4730 N. Armenia Ave., Tampa, FL 33603.
