Mr. Aristides Santirzo's Obituary
SANTIRZO, Aristides "Art"' a native of Tampa passed away December 1, 2009 in Titusville, Florida. He was born in Ybor City to Rogelio and Juana Maria Santirzo. Art was an accomplished pianist since the age of 14. He directed much of the music in the early clubs and theatres in Tampa. In the late forties he formed his own band and played in the hotels of Miami Beach. Moving back to Tampa he was employed by the Hillsborough County Tax Assessor's office where he worked until retirement. Art was preceded in death by his wife, Angeles in 2001; his parents; brother, Roy Santirzo; sister, Siomara Rodriguez and step-son George Heres Yraola. Art is survived by two sisters, Freya Vogelsang and Zenaida Poovey; sister -in-law, Carmen Santirzo and many nieces and nephews The family will receive friends on Monday Dec 7 from 3-6 pm at the Boza & Roel funeral home located at 4730 N Armenia Ave. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 8th at 11 am at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
