Antonio E. Cifuentes' Obituary
Our beloved father, Antonio (Ñico) Cifuentes, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2023 with his family by his side.
He was born on June 14th, 1927 in Constancia de Abreus, Cuba. He left Cuba in 1966 to reside in Bayamon, PR and later settling in Tampa, FL. Antonio was an accountant for Kash n’ Karry Stores until his retirement in 1989. A devoted Catholic, he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his eight grandchildren. He was an avid baseball fan.
Antonio is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mirta and his three children, Tony Cifuentes (Lori), Mirta Amberson (Shey) & Maria Gonzalez (Alberto).
His grandchildren- Amanda Velong, Roman Rodriguez, Cristina Cifuentes, Rachel Gonzalez, Tony Cifuentes Jr., Elizabeth Ogden & Marisa Cifuentes.
His great-grandchildren- Luis Garcia, Abrianna Wallace, Janessa Sherbaum, Barrett Velong and Easton & Atlas Alonso.
He was predeceased by his parents, Antonio & Carmen Cifuentes, his brothers, Nestor & Alfredo Cifuentes and his grandson, Kevin Ogden.
Services will be held at Boza & Roel Funeral Home 4730 N. Armenia Avenue, Tampa, FL 33603 on May 30th, 2023 from 11am to 1pm. It will be followed by a Catholic Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church 3012 W. Cherry Street Tampa, FL 33607 at 2pm.
